The Task

The Target Market is the most important group of customers for a business: they have a need for the business's products/services AND are willing and able to buy them. As such, a company's marketing mix should be created with this group specifically in mind. 

In this assignment, my class group for Principles of Marketing was asked to describe the target market for a company by conducting primary and secondary research:

  1. Our primary research was comprised of a survey we conducted with the group of people we believed are in the company's target market. We created survey questions and evaluated the responses we got.

  2. Our secondary research came from a source in the JMU libraries database.
